Australian cities named by Pearson
Pearson’s official Australia guide names the cities below. This is an official city-level reference, not a live appointment check. It does not confirm the current centre name, address, product or available date.

- Open Pearson’s country and fee finder.
- Select the exact product required by your receiver; choose Australia as the testing country.
- Follow the product’s availability link and search the city or suburb you can reach.
- Compare the centres and local appointment dates actually returned.
- Check the street address, arrival instructions, price in the displayed currency and accepted ID before payment.
A country’s list of cities is not a guarantee of same-day, weekend or every-product availability. If you search a wider area, check the journey before selecting an earlier slot simply because it appears first.

Choose the test from the receiving requirement
For the Australian study, visa and professional uses covered on this site, review PTE Academic and the exact receiver’s rule. The Australia country guide separates visa level thresholds, test-date boundaries, course admission and professional registration.
Do not choose Core because a centre also offers it: its Canadian use does not replace an Australian Academic requirement. Likewise, a product’s availability in Australia does not prove it is accepted for every Australian application. For global study, use the institution and visa checklist to record the actual evidence conditions.
Provider pages can help with local orientation
Some delivery providers publish their own location guidance. Navitas English Test Centre lists Academic testing in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and directs bookings through Pearson. Melbourne Polytechnic’s PTE page describes its Preston campus testing.
These are useful provider references, not live seat confirmations or endorsements by PTE Karo. Check that the exact centre and product are returned by Pearson for your date, then use the confirmation’s building and room instructions. Do not transfer one provider’s advertised hours to every Australian location.
Travel, local time and the final address
Australian cities span different time zones, and daylight-saving arrangements are not identical everywhere. Use the appointment’s stated local date and time, not a conversion you remember from India or another state. If travelling, confirm the journey and your calendar entry against the actual booking location.
As a planning example, an early slot after an interstate arrival can involve flight, local transport and check-in risks that a later local appointment avoids. Compare the whole journey and cost, not just the number of days until the exam. No centre selection guarantees a higher score.
Save the complete name, street address, floor, entrance and appointment instructions from Pearson. If an old map or provider page conflicts, resolve the discrepancy through official support before travelling.

Identification and test-day preparation
Read Pearson’s current ID policy for the product, testing country and your citizenship. A standard Academic booking normally requires a valid original passport; do not assume an Australian driving licence replaces the required document. Match the booking details and contact Pearson in advance if anything differs.
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the appointment for check-in and security. Follow the administrator’s instructions for personal belongings and equipment checks. Report a headset, microphone or computer problem immediately rather than waiting until after the test.
If you need an accommodation, use Pearson’s formal process before booking. It asks for a request at least six weeks before the chosen test and warns review can take longer. A campus location does not automatically establish that your specific adjustment has been approved.
The booking and test-day guide covers changes and cancellation rules. The results guide explains later report access and sharing. If you are comparing testing from India instead, check the India centre guide separately for local ID and travel planning.
Frequently asked questions
Are the six cities the complete current centre list?
No. They are examples named by Pearson’s Australia page, not a complete live inventory. Search the actual location and product for current options.
Do I need an Australian appointment for an Australian application?
Do not assume so. Check the receiver’s accepted product and location conditions. A testing location and an application destination are separate choices.
Can a provider’s weekly schedule guarantee my date?
No. A published schedule is not a seat reservation. The product-specific Pearson booking flow must show and confirm the appointment.
